It all started with frustration. As an indie hacker building SepaHero, I knew how critical customer feedback was to improving my product. But when I searched for a simple NPS tool, prices were outrageous. I remember staring at my screen, shocked that I’d have to pay $249/month to collect a few hundred responses.
I couldn’t believe that as basic as gathering feedback was locked behind such a high paywall. I searched for cheaper alternatives, but none offered the flexibility or ease of use I needed. The more I looked, the more frustrated I became. That’s when I decided: If the solution doesn’t exist, maybe it’s time to build it.
So, that’s exactly what I did. I designed NPS-Hero to be everything I wished those other tools had been—simple, affordable, and fast. Javascript, NPM, and Stripe Integration. No complex setups, no bloated features I’d never use, just a straightforward way to get the feedback that mattered most. It worked so well for my projects that I knew I had to share it with the world.
Today, NPS-Hero is helping indie hackers, startups, and small- and medium-sized businesses like mine to collect real customer insights without breaking the bank.

And it all started with that initial frustration—the feeling of being priced out of something I knew was essential.
